On the 5th of April (1956) Fidel Castro declared himself at war with the US backed President of Cuba, dictator Fulgencio Batista. Subsequently this image is my entry for 3x3 Magazine's, 2011 International Student Show.

The people at VENN Graphic Design, based in Penryn, Cornwall asked me to illustrate a short story for their latest publication, in collaboration with Telltales - a literary evening held in Falmouth and run by Clare HowdleThe Parabola Project is a selective collection of short stories, poetry and prose by a group of local writers from Telltales, and is accompanied by imagery from a variety of different working artists in and around Cornwall. The superb perfect bound soft-back is available to buy online and features some fantastic design by Zander Grinfield from VENN. Thanks again go to Clare and Zander for asking me to contribute.
